Gentle Giant Lantern - Live Auction

This Gentle Giant Lantern was made for our de Gournay residency and is ex-display. It was made in the traditional manner using copper and brass. We reimagined the Gentle Giant for the de Gournay showroom, this time with a hand-hammered nickel backplate. All sales final.
The oversized, rectangular case with glazed front, side and hinged door combine elegantly with a rope detail and orb-like finials to lend both personality and warmth to the inside or outside of a home. The hand drawn glass refracts light with a subtle ripple and offers a window into the chalky white interior. Each forest green lantern is fitted with a chimney piece and bulb shade that draws on the style of 18th century wall lanterns, modernised with an IP rating and electrical bulb.

Collection
This Gentle Giant Lantern must be collected from the de Gournay showroom in New York. Please see de Gournay collection instructions below:
- Collections to happen between 10am and 5pm.
- NYC showroom must be informed of planned pick-ups at least 1 day in advance (email [email protected] or call 212 564 9750).
- Clients will be responsible for all moving and packaging of the pieces.
- There is no loading dock at the de Gournay showroom, so movers will need to walk around 50-100+ feet around the corner outside the shop from the 2nd ave entrance to get their trucks on 59th street.

The Shoppa team will be in touch with the successful bidder to confirm collection.
